For those who use Twitter to meet new people

Howdy all,

I know it's only early October, but year end is just around the corner and the xmas decorations have been in the shops for ages so this seemed like a good time to start reflecting...In this day and age, with so much uncertainty in the world on every level, I no longer take each day with my health and sanity intact for granted.

It's been a HUGE year for me and my family, finally coming back from living in Croatia for 2.5 years, with most of the year spent solo looking after my 3 wise monkeys (kids). As if that wasn't enough, I also started the journey to one of my own personal dreams, running my own business from home. Going through all of this has only made me realise just how strong and resourceful I really am, but that said it's been very challenging and quite exhausting to say the least!

So, what did you achieve in 2008? And by that I'm not really referring to professionally, but personally. Did you leave your mark on someone/something or vice versa? How did the year change you?

We're all here to share, so let's start making it count!

Alex

Well I've had the most fabulous year, Alex. I left my husband with my four children and moved to a different suburb. I managed to maintain relationship with him long distance and we are soon to be reconciled, a major achievement. I started Women Can International Inc and through that I have met the most fantastic bunch of women! They truly are amazing. I've also been working part-time in a local school teaching Small Business Management. I'm mentoring some women starting new businesses in the background and having a fabulous time.

I hope that I will remember this year as the year that I got closer to my children, closer to fulfilling my purpose in life and closer to that place of contentment where you know you've done all that was required of you.

This has been a busy year, some good, some challenging. Mostly I will remember this year as my older son was married in May. A beautiful day. Business has been a challenge, and I have realized this year that I am definitely working at what I love to do, after many years in business. Production is exciting and challenging. Some changes as my Mother in Scotland went in and out of the hospital. I also turned 50 this year!!
